What is a Print ready PDF?

PDF files are the universal standard for printing. Also, most printers only accept PDF. This is because PDF files retain the important information that is crucial for printing. PDF files allow the printer to print the correct color and high resolution

Why PDF?

Margin

Margin is the space inside the printed document that is safe. Basically, it’s the part you don’t have to worry about getting cut off when printing. This is mostly important for text. 1/8 of an inch from the edge is the safe area to work with

Bleed

Bleed is the area around your paper that will get cut off after printing. Bleed is important if you have an image or color that goes off the edge. Without bleed you might have some weird spots on the edge. 1/8 inch bleed is what you will need for basic print projects.

Trim Line

Trim line is the edge of the document. This is where the document will be cut to be the correct size.
